Three shameful years

Three shameful years have passed since Netanyahu allowed Hamas to kill up to 1,221 Israeli citizens and capture 250 more. 

Here is the evidence that the Israeli Government allowed Hamas’ terrorist attack (terrorist in the strict sense of violence against non-combatants):

1 The Security Services  of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) warned Netanyahu of an impending attack a few days before October 7th.

2 Egyptian Security Services chief delivered a personal warning of an upcoming major attack to Tel Aviv

3 The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) Border Watchers warned of unusual mobilisation in Gaza before the attack; they were threatened with courts martial to prevent them from publicising their findings

4 The IDF was withdrawn away from the border prior to the attack

5 Mossad intelligence capabilities are legendary, and they must have known of Hamas’ preparations and reported them.

Why did Netanyahu allow Oct 7?

So the attack was expected, but Netanyahu ignored five warnings, any one of which should have triggered an effective defensive response. Why did he do this? 

There are two possible motives:

First, Netanyahu is being tried, with exquisite slowness, in the Israeli courts on charges of bribery, fraud and breach of trust. Trump, whose disdain for the rule of law is well known, has called on the President of Israel to pardon Netanyahu. His merciless bombing campaign displaces reporting of the trial, and his status as war leader apparently puts him above the Law in political terms. 

Second, Netanyahu seeks an excuse to make Gaza uninhabitable, and wipe out the Gazan people. 

History, if history is not wiped out by a nuclear war, will judge these times as a triumph of popular news-speaking over truth, of widespread propaganda over reality.

We must learn from this

The Hamas atrocity of October 7th 2023 and the subsequent genocidal massacre of an entire people led by the criminal Netanyahu, assisted among others by the British Government, is an object lesson in how war can be created by a handful of politicians, provided they can rely on a compliant billionaire owned media. 

War is not an inevitability, it is a social construct, the result of decision by flawed human beings, sometimes the most flawed people in a nation. 

War can be prevented if we act in unison.
