About this site
This site aims to set out as briefly as possible how we can create a world with less violence, fewer wars, and no threat of total destruction by a global nuclear war.
The objectives of this site are
- To create a brief overview of the whole vast topic of peace and war
- To set out the arguments in favour of working for peace
- To outline the changes that are needed to bring about a more peaceful world
- To provide a focus to bring together the many different peace movements in the world, in order to have more influence on our governments
- To provide template letters for people to send to their MPs or representatives
It is hoped that the site will expand over time so that eventually it will range from short, simple arguments to references to academic papers on the subject of peace.
The primary location of this site is the UK, but as far as possible it reaches out to the United Nations, since peace can only be achieved by nations working collaboratively.
